Training in the Gorilla Den is relaxed but serious. We like a laugh and we have a crack but when it comes down to it we train hard and our work ethic is second to none. 

Gainsborough Boxing

Dan Gibbon has taught boxing classes in Gainsborough for many years and as a pro fighter he has a wealth of experience to bring to any boxers corner. Dan has a great squad of instructors who can teach you top form and technique and get you in shape if you fancy your chances in the ring. The boxing classes cater for juniors, adults, those who wish to spar regularly and those who wish to enhance their fitness but without contact. 

The Gorilla Den is the heart of Gainsborough boxing and the Gorilla Fight Team have regular victories in the ring. You will find all of the coaches approachable and supportive and Dan also provides 1 to 1 sessions to help individuals really hone their technique. 

No Gi Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling have really grown in popularity over the last ten years because of two reasons; they are a seriously effective fighting discipline and they are a seriously good workout! Most fighters in the 21st century add in jiu jitsu or wrestling to their approach and it has fast become the largest component of self defence and mixed martial arts. Justin McRoberts and JP Sutton are both black belts in Jiu Jitsu who increase their knowledge in the discipline every week so you are learning from some of the sharpest minds in the business. 

We would recommend anyone serious about self defence of fighting to try these disciplines and experience how they round out your performance and give you a whole new area of attack and defence. If you were taken to ground what would you do? These are the classes that will certainly give you the answer to that question. This sport is no joke and if you do not leave sweaty then you must have just been spectating! 

Strength & Conditioning Circuits

There are plenty of conditioning and circuit classes in town but there are not as many that are taken by qualified level 3 personal trainers. Mark Bannister is highly skilled in fitness instruction and want to get the most out of you. Their classes are tailored to deliver an all over body workout that is safe, intelligent and ideal for your aspirations. 

You will do isolated and compound weight training alongside cardio stations. Combines some great resistance work to give you a hard class that ensures results.
